The Dragon's Garden

Birds that hum,

sipping at giant flowers,

tiny merfolk that play

in a splashing fountain,

Fairies that light up the evening sky,

prisms of wings are the dragons’ flies

that glide along the water.

Majestic trees standing guard

The breeze plays with their branches

as the wind brings far away stories

the dragon sits and listens

to every unearthly whisper.

They don’t make the dragon worry.

He has wisdom from long ago

and power from on high.

He’s the dragon with two sides

rainbow scales and serpent tails

that’s what dragons are made of!
